Healing Through Gardening
Master Gardener Volunteers collaborated with Roseville Parks & Recreation to promote healing gardens.
Nearby Nature and public green spaces can be restorative to communities, reducing stress and promoting mental and physical well-being.

Master Gardener volunteers began a project in 2022 to help bring awareness of the kinds of good that residents can find in their local parks and neighborhood green area. They worked in partnership with the Department of Parks and Recreation in Roseville to promote the idea, with hopes of reaching more parks in Ramsey County in the coming years. Signs and educational materials help park visitors understand how to get the most from their visits and leave feeling more relexed and refreshed, all part of our mission to promote healthy people and healthy communities.
Community Get-Togethers
The primary service that Ramsey County Master Gardener Volunteers provide is access to research-based information from the University of Minnesota.
We are stationed around the county at various events throughout the year in-person and often offer handouts or give-away items based on the nature of the event. Hope to see you at our RCMG Volunteer Booth at one of these events!
