This class teaches participants how to choose the right tomato varieties, prepare their garden, and care for tomatoes throughout the season. Topics include seed starting, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, pest management, and harvesting. It also covers short-term storage and preservation methods like canning, freezing, and drying. This class topic is part of the Local Foods priority of the Master Gardener program.
