July 12, 2022 RCMG Board of Directors Meeting: The Board Meeting was held on July 12, 2022 via Zoom. The next Board Meeting is scheduled for August 9, 2022 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Zoom. These meetings are open to all volunteers.
Special Updates
Project Proposal for Funding: Muriel Sahlin Arboretum Healing Garden
The Board was presented with a request to co-fund a Healing Garden educational project at the Muriel Sahlin Arboretum in Roseville, in cooperation with the City of Roseville. The purpose of this project is to educate visitors on the healing benefits of nature, and to expose the public to the work of our organization. Significant signage will be created which will explain elements of the existing landscape that conform to the principles of healing. The City of Roseville will split the cost of this phase with RCMG, and the Board approved the request of up to $800 for the project.

Education Committee Update
The Garden Gate tours are ongoing and have been a delight for all who’ve attended. Please consider signing up for several of the remaining dates and support those volunteers who have graciously offered their properties for your enjoyment and education.
New Member Committee Update
The committee thanks all who have participated in our volunteer projects. A reminder that if you cannot make your shift it is important that you find a substitute. Our project coordinators count on you!
Communications Committee Update
The Communication Committee has grown to 17 members and their work is amazing! Projects include ongoing web site content review and updates, Facebook, Flickr and Instagram management, a Barn Garden video in the works, signage for numerous volunteer initiatives, and more.

Gretchen Hesli presented the June 2022 Board Meeting Minutes, which were approved.
Treasurer Update
Kathy Passe, our Interim Treasurer, presented the June Monthly Transaction Report and June Bank Statement, which was approved.
Program Coordinator Update
Darren was on vacation and not in attendance.
Board Chair Update
Vice-Chair Sandy McDonald presented the updated Policy and Procedure Handbook for our organization. Links to the website have been incorporated in order to keep the manual current without regular revisions. The manual will be available on our website in the near future.
