RCMG Library News - October 2024

Updated: Oct 14

10/07/2024

Over the past six months, volunteers have been working on the RCMG Lending Library. Here are some notes about that process for our members to know.

Updated Collection

Books that had not circulated, were showing wear, were aged/outdated, or were no longer relevant were weeded from the collection. Those books were offered to RCMG volunteers at the September meeting. All books not adopted by volunteers were donated to local groups and agencies.

Updated Book List

Click here to view the list of books available for borrowing from the RCMG Lending Library. Those books are located in the Resource Center on the shelving unit just inside the door. Please follow the check-out procedure noted on the shelf and return books for others to read. This list will also be linked on the RCMG webpage.

Library + Book Club Governance

The RCMG Book Club and the administration of the library collection were moved to the Education Committee over the summer of 2024.

Book Purchases

The Education Committee has approved the purchase of two copies of each book club selection. Book Club selections are housed in the middle of the library collection shelving unit with the most current titles on the wooden inset.

Book Donations

RCMG Volunteers are asked not to leave book donations at the Resource Center without first checking with a member of the Education Committee. The goal is to keep the library collection current and relevant.
